It’ll give the same numbers as Ultimate Team did & EA will come up with a whole new online mode when it isn’t needed because they regularly ignore the obvious bugs that people complain about daily. I’ve lost 2 titles now & a division because of it, & it’s going to be a problem if it isn’t fixed soon. My complaint is a bug that I’ve only seen in OWC, (which is ironic) you’ll match with someone & go into the selection screen, both people will ready up & load in, & when the commentary starts you’re stuck on a purple screen, only able to see the shadows, but your opponent seems to be fine so you sit there & listen to them working you. The game overall is fair for everyone, everyone has a chance to win even when you’re using a top fighter against a lower star one. The customization has a lot of potential, but they clearly didn’t put too much work into it, which is good because I’m hoping they plan on adding things regularly. I recommend switching it to the legacy controls if you’re playing online.
The grappling wasn’t overhauled at all, just a new, much more predictable system they added for more casual players. It’s not everything we’ve asked for, but for those who’ve played the striking is obviously much more fluid, there’s still slight bugs with the mechanics but those are easy fixes we’ll see soon.
